Without the pressure of a final semester looming over me, I think I'm going to just bite the bullet and say that WMU didn't accept me. It's okay. I mean, I'm disappointed, but I have a decent job for a year, so that I can reapply to WMU, GSU and a couple other places.

I'm going to be working on this assumption and that means, it's time to write personal statements again. I'm going to be posting about my progress here. I know there are several former graduate students on my list. Meaning, y'all can work with me a little, if you don't mind?

So, let's start with what I need:

- Full residency. I don't think a low residency is for me, and that just seems like a bad idea, considering how much I need structure.

- Decent housing. I still have AJ and will need housing to support both of us. Also, must accept cats.

- OUT OF OHIO I cannot stress this one enough. I could have gone to Miami, but... nope, need out of Ohio, desperately.

- Programs for disabled adults. AJ is still a consideration. So, I have to take that into account.

- I would prefer full funding, so I don't have to work, but I do have my national certification as a Pharm Tech, so that is easy enough to use.

These are the things I'm looking at.

Now, let's start with which specific schools:

- Western Michigan. Still have my heart set on it, don't know why.
- University of Kansas. I think this is about as far west as I'd care to go.
- West Virginia University. I love West Virginia. Love it.
- McNeese State University. Okay, it's in Louisiana. So, do I need another reason?
- Wichita State University. Again, about as far west as I'd like to go.
- University of Mississippi, Oxford. I applied once, but I'm willing to give it another go.
- Butler University. It's in Indianapolis, which makes me wary, but it's a good place to start, I think.
- Washington University. This one is in St. Louis, and was on my list before, and I want to keep it on my list.

So. I have until October, to get shit straight about Grad School, because then starts the applying. I have to figure out where to get letters of recommendation from though. I might poke a couple of professors. And my boss. Because, they'll be the ones that have to write it. But, that'll be... this summer sometime.

Okay, so, this month:

April Work on manuscripts. I have several in progress, but need to buckle down and finish one of them.
May Rewrite Resume to reflect changes.
June Start contacting recommendation writers.
July Work on personal statements. Each one has to be tailored to the specific school, so I'm going to have a lot of work cut out for me.

That's as far ahead as I'm willing to plan yet. Things might end up differently and it all depends on where I am in my job, my home, and everything else. So, that's that.
