I love being a writer...
Jul. 13th, 2011 11:45 amThe last week or so, my entire brain has been consumed with writing Gay Porn. For those that have known me a long time, they're aware that my brother, M, is married to a guy, J. This, and living with them precluded me writing anything close to gay porn. WHY? Because EW NO BROTHER DOES IT EW.
... Not homophobia, guys. My brother does not have sex. He's my brother. He doesn't even have genitalia. So there.
However, since we haven't lived together in a long time, my brain can finally separate "my brother has sex with a guy" and "hey, fictional GAY PORN! YAY!"
This is part of what I love about being a writer. That, and I can be writing something and go "Huh. Wonder how big that bottle would be." Then, next time I'm in Walmart, wander on over that way and go... "Okay, so for every box of the 36ct condoms, he'd buy... four of these? Sounds about right!" And then come home, secure in the knowledge that I have gotten the proper condom/lube combination that actually exists at Walmart where my guy is shopping.
In other words, research is hilariously fun.
Especially when it means I get to email my brother and ask his opinion of condom brands and what's the best lube for anal sex? Hint: The great thing about my brother? He'll answer as long as I don't ask about him and J.
So, yes, I'll get back to the memes, once I'm done writing Nightcrawler porn.
