Today's writing
May. 4th, 2009 02:50 pmWriting today has gone on. I'm working on KoO again, and in two word wars, a mere hour of writing, I made over 2k words.
It may not seem like a lot, but considering I now have words that I didn't have before, I'm pretty happy with that.
That being said, I think KoO is going to top out at about 130k. Could it be less? I'm not sure it could. Not and keep the story intact. I'm already cutting out huge chunks of it. Huge chunks that I need to know, but not that anyone else does. Not even the reader. Especially since a lot of it can be summed up in the narrative.
I'm at about 43k, so another 87k and I'm good to go. Now this means that this month is really buckle down time.
I also have that course, which means that I need to scratch out time to do that as well.
May is going to be incredibly busy.
I'm thinking, honestly, of putting up some things here, that might help people with some of their own writing. Character interviews, writing charts, interesting things I run across both on and offline.
Maybe even a list of books that are simply "must haves" heh.
I'd really like to start putting things up here that are writing related, but not so personal. Maybe prompts and the like.
I had thought of fanfiction, but decided against that. This is my Real Writing Blog, and fanfiction can go some place else.
For now, I'm going to work on KoO, and the homework I have from the writing course, already, and see what's going on.
