Creative Writing - the Masters
May. 14th, 2023 11:01 amSo... I'm looking at Master's programs in Creative Writing. I should not be doing that, because we cannot afford for me to go back to school right now. We just can't. It'll be something that we need to do once Sam is done with school. (One of us should be somewhat sane.) I have at least two years to study for my GRE, though. Because I need to retake that.
I'm also thinking of doing it online, rather than in person, because I've got to work during the classes, and that'll suck. Will that stop me from editing and rewriting and doing what I need to do? No, absolutely not.
I hope to get published, or at least some of my smaller stuff, and that might allow me to get a leg up? I don't know.
But yes, I plan on going back to school soon, again. If I get a decent job, then it'll help to pay down my student loans, and I'll be able to get more for school again. That would be nice.
So, I'm going to go edit a bit, and see what I can do about studying for the GRE. Again. When I took it in 2018, it wasn't done well. I can do better.
In terms of writing, my werewolf story is starting to take shape. I've written on it for the last day or so, working on maybe getting a plot started there. Not sure what the plot is as of yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
Steampunk, I'm about half way through, and there's many things that I know need fixing.
Slayers? There's a huge plot hole and I need to fix it. I just don't want to. Not that I think I'm above plot holes, (I'm not) but it's a pain and I'm just over it. Not sure what 'it' is, but I'm over it.
Sigh. Mother's Day amirite? Tomorrow, I have not one but two job interviews. One I have to take the bus to, the other requires a car. Need to find what I'm going to wear. But that's what laundry is for. Because if I don't do laundry, I have no bras.
Anyway... That's the update. Time to work on something.
