So, on October 30th, Scotty got his lipoma removed.
Tonight, just before I got off work, Scotty - who was wearing his soft cone of shame - tripped over the cone and fell from a height of about four feet and fell over the entertainment center and then to the ground.
When I finally was able to get a good look at him, it was to find that he'd ripped open his sutures. In two spots. Meaning I called an e-vet and they said as long as he's not actively bleeding he can wait until morning.
So, that's another couple hundred that I don't have. But he's my baby.
I can't... I took a klonipin. So, I just don't feel anything right now. I may take another and just Not Sleep tonight. I'm not doing well at all.
My baby is hurt and I can't make it better.
Update:
Took him to his vet this morning, and they said that since it's not actively bleeding, he should be okay. They're not going to stitch him up, because that requires sedation and this isn't that dire. This is called "second intention healing". Basically letting it stay open.
But I was given some medications for him (that's going to be fun!) Xanax once a day, wound wash twice a day. Then, we'll recheck in two weeks.
So, let's hope Scotty doesn't do something stupid until then.
