I took today off, because AJ had a cardiologist appointment. He's fine! Just a check up.
Okay, that's the sundry, now to the purpose of this post.
Recently, some things have been said to me. Both online and off. I'm going to unpack them here and then at the end do some shameless self-promotion.
1) "Wow, he's spoiled, isn't he?" I've talked about this before, but now it's creeping into my online life. At work, I can ignore it, because those people only see the part of my life that I choose to let them see. Same with online people. I've blocked a couple of people recently, because they've stated the above, and I do not have time for that shit. AJ is not spoiled. He does really well for a guy with Down Syndrome. He takes out garbage, cleans up his area and will even run the vacuum if I ask.
2) "Stop spoiling AJ." This was said by his father. According to Aaron, I am "spoiling" AJ and not doing anything for Sage. Which, Sage doesn't want me to do anything for them. So I don't. AJ doesn't need me to do anything for him, I choose to.
3) "You're ruining your life." Thank you, Gabriel. Being my eldest brother and constantly in my business, you of course know exactly what's going on. Yes, my bank account is in the holeagain. Because I paid bills. That's it, that's the reason. But I don't know how to fix it. I'm so tired after work, that anything else, is just... too hard to do.
4)Shameless self promotion So. As I said, I'm going to do some shamelss self-promotion. The other day, when all the rest of this stuff was going on, I just... shut down and decided that the world needed to know more about Down Syndrome, and how AJ deals with it. So, I created Downandfeline. It's an instagram about a boy and his cat. Because although I do a lot of stuff, anymore, Scotty is more AJ's than mine. I'm okay with that. So, I'm asking you guys to spread it around. Spread awareness of things that happen with Down Syndrome people. Tell your friends.
Peace.
