Decisions, decisions

I'm seriously thinking about doing Script Frenzy in April.

It'd be a great way to block out a novel, or two, that can then be written later. It might help with actually getting them written. Which as we all know is the biggest problem I have.

It's 100 pages of Script in 30 days. I've never written a script in my life. Ever. But, ya know, writing doesn't expand unless you challenge yourself.

Right?

So, dear readers... what do you think? Should I attempt it? There are a few days left, and I haven't totally decided just yet.

However, has anyone done it before? Is anyone doing it? Would they be willing to work with me? Has anyone got tips for writing a script? Any specific software they'd recommend?

I might, tomorrow, bum around the site and see what the what is.

So, what's everyone's thoughts?

Why not?

No, no... I mean, why not go for it? What do you have to lose?

I'm going to sort of do it? I'm trying to write an audio play for my brother's acting troupe, and I've designated April as the month to write the first draft. It probably won't be a whole hundred pages, though.

I've "tried" doing Script Frenzy in the past (by which I mean one year I signed up and then didn't do it at all, and then one year I actually started an outline but never got any further). I've never written a script before and I find it a little intimidating.

But if it's something you want to try, go for it! You have nothing to lose. I'm probably not going to sign up officially, but I will be working on a script in April.

As for software, my brother writes all his scripts on Celtx. It's free, though there is also a premium version if you want to pay money. But my brother writes a lot of scripts and gets by fine on the free version, so you probably wouldn't need anything fancier than that.
