Playing....

The new NaNoWriMo site has been launched. I'm starting to play with it, giving me something to do before NaNo starts.

I just wrote my novel synopsis and realized it fits perfectly with the tone of the novel that I'm hoping to get across:

"A regular, plain old farmer, trying to raise four kids without help finds out that she's got help... From several Gods. Even ones she's never heard of. She's not exactly impressed when Their representatives start showing up on her doorstep expecting to be clothed, fed and sheltered from her world. Oh, and then one of those beings decides that the moon is the perfect place for her to build a kingdom - queendom. Whatever."

etcetera_cat I'm sure you recognize the Moon in that.

Now, I'm going to go do responsible stuff. Just wanted to share it because this early in the morning, it amused me.

Doesn't it just fit? :D I was so damned amused with my brain. Seriously? I've written a lot of it in my brain already and am just waiting for Nov. 1 to start putting words to screen.

It does! It kinda amuse me that about the first 8wks of the au!moon can basically be boiled down to Cat going "...seriously? Seriously?" and giving serious thought to hauling off and smacking someone over the head with a frying pan.

Or a fence post. She wanted to set someone on fire but... dragons and FIRECAT. It seemed more appropriate to start laying about her with the hose. :P

Well, she does lay about with a bucket of water on at least one occasion :D

I always forget that Herself showed up once and was indignant about getting water dumped on her by a very startled Cat. :D

This is what you get for just popping in places... something She never really learned.

Yeah, Herself had several areas where the learning curve was more of a flat line, if not an outright trough. It was about the only bit of arch-conservative religioning she vaguely got a handle on, but at least it was offset by fireballs?
