Title: Lost Boy
Prompt: Hunger
Rating: PG-13
Content Note/Warnings: Implies captivity, torture, bullying, and kidnapping
“Please. I’m hungry.”
Dark eyes looked over at her, and she wondered where the soft spoken sensitive boy she’d known in school had gone. In his place stood a monster, a monster that didn’t mind – and, in fact, seemed to revel in – giving pain.
Cessily had known that before he’d arrived at the school, he hadn’t had an easy time of it. His parents were both dead, he’d been accused of murder, and been the school punching bag most of his life.
Apparently, now, he’d snapped.
She struggled against the metal cuffs holding her tight.
He had to still be in there, right? Some part of him had to remain.
“Kevin, please. Just free me so I can eat.”
His mouth twisted in a smile that said she’d amused whatever perverted part of him ruled now. His lips pulled into a smile that made her want to find a small space to crawl into and never come out of. How had he learned that? Had someone in his past done it to him?
Cessily licked dry and cracked lips. She wanted out of here. “Kevin, please…”
He leaned over her and she felt backed into a corner. She shrank away from him as well as she could. He’d never been big, but somehow, he became far more intimidating now that he had her at his mercy.
Did Kevin even know what mercy was?
“Please what, Cess?” His warm breath ghosted against her cheek. “Ya hungry?” He asked her.
She chanced a nod.
“Not yet.” Kevin made it sound like a promise. “Ya ain’t learned what real hunger is. The hunger for the tormentin’ t’stop. The hunger t’just have ten minutes where ya ain’t gotta worry ‘bout someone comin’ along behind ya an’ doin’ somethin’ t’ya. The hunger t’just walk down a hall unnoticed so the pain an’ the humiliation stop.”
His hand rose and she flinched back when he reached out to touch her cheek. “Ya don’t know what hunger is, but I’m gonna teach ya.” Kevin smiled, nothing but teeth. “Jus’ be patient. Soon ya’ll know. Soon.”
Kevin leaned in and brushed his lips against her forehead. Then, he turned and left her alone in the dark again.
Cessily just curled up tighter, buried her face in her knees and cried.
